Scholarship Assistance

The Steering Committee of Southwest Colorado Rural Philanthropy Days is aware that smaller nonprofits don’t always have the financial resources for continued staff and board training. We will therefore be offering scholarships to nonprofits whose total budgets are under $100,000. Click here to download this information as a PDF.

Eligibility Guidelines:

Organization must be tax-exempt under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) or 170(b)(1)(a)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code or provide written evidence of a fiscal sponsorship with such an entity;
Total budget must be under $100,000;
Organizations operating in rural settings will be given preference;
Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis!

Application Requirements

Please return the following information to coordinator@southwestrpd.org or mail to SWCRPD, PO Box 1673 Durango, 81302:

Organization name; name of person attending SW RPD; mailing, physical, and email address, phone number, web address;
Current Budget as approved by the Board, and most recent year-end financials
Copy of organization’s letter of determination from the IRS (or that of fiscal agent);
Expectations and motivations for attending SW RPD and what actions you anticipate taking as a result of the knowledge and connections you gain;
Brief explanation of financial need;
Amount of assistance you’re requesting.

Upon receipt of application, we will contact you with the next steps you should take to register for the event. Don’t forget, scholarships are first-come, first-served.
